The Mono Monster - January 2007

After Christmas we experienced the first test of our marriage. The dreaded Mono Monster attacked our household. It actually only got a hold of Lara and we are still unsure of where she contracted (no, she was not kissing anyone besides her husband). The attack was viscious and merciless. I was very sick for nearly three weeks. During that time Jayson proved himself the perfect husband. He patiently took care of me and the house during my incapacitation. He made dinner, dried my tears, and even went to the store at 2:00 AM one night to get me medicine! He definately passed the first challenge of our married life with flying colors! I didn't pass it quite as graciously, but with his help I got through it.
