Pile of Pennies

You know my life is pretty boring when the second most exciting thing (next to finishing thesis data collection) in my week is a pile of pennies! :) Earlier this week I broke a 2 1/2 foot tall plastic Coke bottle that Jayson keeps pennies in. It was almost completely full and I broke it near the bottom, so the entire contents of the bottle emptied out onto our floor. They sat there for several days until Jayson fixed the bottle. After looking at them for some time I got to noticing how cool a big pile of pennies actually looks. The different amounts of wear and tear on each penny make a really neat collage of colors.
