~ These perfectly formed cubes were made entirely by nature.
~ I found them in something that I made out of natural ingredients over a year ago and used it only once. It has been sitting untouched since then. It was still perfectly usable after I removed all the cubes.
~ You may notice that there are both pink ones and yellow ones.
~ This isn't really a clue, but I thought it was pretty cool. In the center of each cube is an intricate "snowflake" looking pattern that is symmetrical from all faces of the cube.
So my questions to you are:
~ What are these mysterious cubes?
~ What did I find them in?
As a bonus: I guess the color isn't completely natural, it comes from food coloring that was mixed into the thing I found the cubes in. Does that help?

i think they are some sort of sugar crystal from some canning you did last year...just a shot in the dark! but i'm dying to know what it is!
Sugar crystals from homemade syrup? I know, lame guess, because I already know those sugar crystals don't look like that.
I just had another thought. Is it from honey??? These are probably lame guesses.
maybe a type of salt? I've never seen anything like it?
I know that salt naturally forms into cubes and that you could grow or make salt cubes that large, however I don't know about the symmetrical snow flake thing. I also do know about the different colors occuring naturally, however coloring could be added to the naturally forming cubes. My best guess without researching it is that they are salt cubes.
I'm going to say bath salts... am I right?!
