We only had one mishap along the way. The end was rather steep and we had to climb up a bunch of rocks. My foot slipped on one and my poor knee and shin came crashing down. I still have some pretty nasty bruises and it is a week later!

Ouch - that knee does look sore! Your SF trip seems pretty great. I could get used to business trips like that.
Where did you go hiking? It looks like a beautiful hike. Paul is totally into hiking and this looks like some place he love to go. Slipping on a rock and getting hurt sounds like something I would do.
If you live in the Ogden area here are directions to the hike up Waterfall Canyon:
The trailhead is at the top of 29th street in Ogden. If you are heading north on Harrison Blvd. coming up from South Ogden take a right on 30th. Then take a left on Polk Ave. and then a right on 29th. The parking lot is at the end of 29th on your right. The trail head is clearly marked, you want to take the trail that goes to the Waterfall, not the exercise trail. You walk up the trail a ways and then you come to another marker. You can either take a right and go straight to the waterfall or you can take a left and go the "scenic route". We chose the scenic route and really enjoyed it but it does tack at least 45 extra minutes onto the hike.
Ouch! I'm glad you guys were able to enjoy the fall colors up in the mountains.
