Happy Anniversary!

Last weekend we celebrated our 2 year anniversary! Actually, it was more of an observance since our actual anniversary was on Nov. 18th. We spent the weekend up at Lakeside Village in Huntsville. It is located in a beautiful little mountain valley right at the edge of a reservoir. The condos are usually used for the ski season and since ski season doesn't officially begin until next weekend we got the condo for a great price! It was so wonderful so just get away from everything, even if it was for just a short time, and enjoy time together. On Saturday we went for a hike up in the canyon.

HOLY HOUSE BATMAN! We couldn't believe the size and architecture on this house! Our favorite part was that at the end of the lane their house address was painted on a discarded piece of timber that was stuck into a old metal bucket, it was an interesting contrast to the grandiosity (did I just make up that word?) of the home.


You know how I like to post pictures of our dinners, so here is what we enjoyed on Saturday night; salmon drizzled with a home-made honey-mustard sauce (made by Jayson) served with alfredo pasta topped with broccoli. We washed it all down with some strawberry-pomegranate italian soda! Delicious!

We have absolutely loved our first two years of marriage! I am happy to say that we can still answer "No" when Jayson's grandpa asks us, "Have you had a fight yet?" Not that having a fight means you have a bad marriage because I'm sure we will have one someday :) We have just been very fortunate to enjoy a peaceful and contented marriage thus far, which I am very grateful for. Since Thanksgiving is upon us I also have to say how grateful I am for Jayson. He is so good to me and has helped me to grow and become a better person over these past two years. I feel truly blessed to have him as my husband and friend! Happy Anniversary!
