Last night I stepped into the kitchen right before I was about to head off to bed and found a large puddle of water seeping out from underneath our stove. We pulled out the stove to find water leaking out of our wall. We put in a call to the emergency maintenance line and they said that they would come look at it around 9:00 the next morning. In the mean time we put every available towel in our house down to try and soak up all the water. After our experience last week I was going to be very surprised if anyone from maintenance ever showed up, but they surprised us by showing up at 5:00AM!! They had found the cause of the leak, turned off the water, and just wanted to make sure that our carpet hadn't gotten wet. Luckily it hadn't since we had put all the towels down. I don't think our upstairs neighbor (the toilet guy) was so lucky, we heard the wet vac going at his place around 5:30 this morning.
Moral of the story . . . we really need to find our own house. Not that having a house makes these kind of problems go away, but at least they would be our own problems and not our neighbors problems spilling over (literally) into our lives.

Yuck, yuck, yuck. That stinks that NONE of the plumbing problems affecting you are from YOUR OWN apartment! Good luck finding somewhere new or in simply enduring the next bit in this one!
