We were planning on touring more homes in the Parade of Homes (see post below) and then we were going to hike up the mountain in Ogden to watch all the fireworks in the valley. However, when we went out to our car we discovered we had a flat tire :( So instead, I got a lesson in how to change a tire and then we were forced to spend the rest of the afternoon at home - the curse of having only one car.
In the spirit of the holiday I started reading "The 5,000 Year Leap", which was recommended to me by a friend. It discusses the principles that the Founding Fathers used to establish our nation and our Constitution and how those principles have led to the prosperity and success of the United States. I am only into the introduction but am already inspired by the miracle of our country's birth. We truly lived in a blessed nation and have a duty to live up to the responsibilities and obligations that come with being the heirs of freedom.

True! I always knew I had it great living in the states. Living here though, man the U.S. is so amazing! We truely are blessed as a country!
I'm sorry Lara! I've missed fireworks two years in a row because Matt's family reunion is always the first weekend in July. I told him that next we are just going to have to leave early so it feels like the 4th!! Can't wait to see you in less than a week!!!!!!!!
