Becoming "Shelf" Reliant

So we have a goal this year to have a 3 month supply of food storage by the end of the year. We are realizing that the year is half way over and we really need to get in gear if we are going to reach our goal. Last month we got a bunch of money for our cash back rewards from our credit card (thanks VISA!) and decided that we would put it towards our food storage.

In looking around our small apartment we quickly realized that it was going to be difficult to store very much of anything anywhere, we just don't have the room. We started looking at food storage shelving and finally decided to splurge and go for a free standing Food Rotation System (FRS) from Shelf Reliance. We are going to be proudly displaying our food storage front and center in our living room! :)

It actually is currently in the dead center of our living room. I still need to clean out the corner that we are going to put it in, but it is going to remain in the living room. Maybe I will have to make some sort of cover for it so it isn't so unsightly.

We also bought this little "Cansolidator" to put in the kitchen pantry.

The cool thing about these shelves is that they rotate your cans for you so you don't end up having the old cans stuck in the back of the cupboard, at the bottom of a stack, for who knows how long.

Jayson thinks that Sean Connery needs to be their spokesman. So now we have plenty of food storage space, now we just need to work on getting the actual food :)
