Parade of Homes Day 3

We did our third round of the Parade of Homes last night. We went to four houses, two of them were over $1 million each. That is a lot of house in Utah! Here are some highlights from three of the houses since I didn't take any pictures at the first one, even though it was my favorite one! Drats, I always forget about my camera!

Here we are trying to take our picture in front of the second house. There was a small breeze and I kept getting my hair stuck to my lips.
Here is the entrance to the house, but there is more house off to the right.
It had two private balconies on the top floor. A balcony on the main floor that stretched the width of the house. And finally a patio down on the bottom level. I guess when you have a gorgeous mountain in your back yard you want to be able to enjoy the view.
Here is HALF of the closet, on the other side of that island (yes, there was an island in the closet!) is an entire wall of shelves and clothes racks. But don't worry, in case you get tired of looking for your clothes you can always sit down and rest on the window seat!

This is the next house we went to. This house was "only" $600,000, which is fairly modest compared to many of the homes we have seen, so we were kind of caught off guard by this super fancy bathroom.
The last house of the evening. This house had a very "cabiny" feel to it, which you can kind of guess from the outside. We didn't like it so much, it didn't really feel like a warm inviting home. It felt more like a lodge or cabin, which I guess is what they were going for. There was hardly any carpet in it, which gave it kind of an abrasive feel for lack of a better word. The entire upstairs was hard wood floors and then the entire basement (except for the bedrooms, which had carpet) was this painted concrete stuff. Kind of different. I actually like homes that have a bit of a cabiny feel to them (my uncle has a gorgeous one), as long as they still feel like a home. This house was definitely not my idea of a cozy home, but to each his own I guess.
Here is the master bathroom. If you look closely at the mirror you can see an image of some mountains. That is a TV screen! It is behind the mirror I think. It was on the man's side of the bathroom so I guess he likes to watch the news as he gets ready in the morning :)
The candy man can! This area in the basement reminded me of the candy shop at the beginning of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
And finally . . . no I didn't catch Jayson in a bathroom stall :) This is the two-way swinging door into the kitchen pantry. It felt like walking into an old western saloon!

Well this afternoon will be our final tour of the homes. We are going to 4 massive homes up the canyon so I will try and get some more interesting highlights.
