Tag, I'm It

Well, my friend Stacia "tagged" me a few weeks ago with a little survey and I am just now getting around to answering all the questions. I am not going to tag anyone else, but if you feel like filling it out yourself you are welcome to. I guess it gives you a chance to find out a little bit more about me and Jayson, so here it goes.

How long have you been together? We have been married for almost a year (Nov. 18th), we dated for a year minus 3 days, and we were friends before we dated for about a year and a half.

How long did you date? We dated "officially" for a year minus 3 days. That would be counting from the day we first kissed (Nov. 21st, 2005) to the day we got married (Nov 18th, 2006). We had been going out for about 2 months before we kissed and we were engaged for the last 3 months of that year, so I guess you could calculate it differently if you wanted to.

Who eats more? Jayson, I think. However, it might just look like he eats more food because he eats about 3x faster than me, I am a very slow eater.

Who said I love you first? Jayson, I didn't want to scare him off by saying it first. He likes to take the lead on those sort of things.

Who is taller? Jayson by about an inch if we are both barefoot. I can beat him though if I wear heels.

Who sings better? I have done a lot more singing in my life, but I don't know that I am better. Jayson actually has a pretty good voice when he chooses to use it and he helps hold together the bass section in the ward choir.

Who is smarter? I think we are both pretty smart folks. We are both smart in our areas of interest/expertise. When he talks about business I am completely lost and when I talk about speech therapy stuff I think it is the same for him :)

Whose temper is worse? We haven't found that out yet. We are going on a year of marriage without a fight! We are both hoping that that doesn't mean someday down the road we are going to have some huge catastrophic argument, I kind of doubt it though. We are both pretty even tempered.

Who does the laundry? Most of the time I do it, but Jayson does it sometimes as well. He will also often help me fold it!

Who does the dishes? We both despise doing dishes, but we both do them. We don't really talk about who is going to do the dishes, usually one of us just gets sick of the huge pile and we do them.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Looking at the bed...Jayson. Laying in the bed...me.

Who pays the bills? Jayson. He also has developed our very detailed budget (which can never seem to quite keep), he is the financial wizard of our family.

Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn, just a little patio off our apartment. I am the one who sweeps all the dirt and leaves off the patio. If we had a lawn Jayson would probably be the one to mow it. Unless we have one of those riding lawn mowers and then I will fight him for it :) I always thought those looked like so much fun.

Who cooks dinner? We are about 50/50 on this. On weeks that we are really organized we plan our menu for the week and decide who will cook on which night. Other weeks we just play it from day to day, but it is not unusual for me to get home from a long day at work and find Jayson making dinner. What a sweetheart!

Who drives when you are together? Jayson usually does.

Who is more stubborn? I don't really know, I don't think of either of us as very stubborn. Jayson is probably more opinionated, but that is not really the same thing.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Jayson I think, but I could be wrong about that :)

Whose parents do you see the most? We don't live close by to either of our parents (mine are in the Seattle area and his are in the Denver area) so we don't see either of them a whole lot. Since we have been married we have probably seen my parents more just because they have come down to Utah a lot in the past year.

Who kissed who first? Jayson kissed me, like I said he likes to be the one to take the lead on those kind of things.

Who asked who out? Jayson asked me out, our first date was to the SLC Aquarium. However, if you ask Jayson he will argue that I am really the one who asked him out on our first date because we went to a concert together up on campus the first summer we met. I am the one who asked him to go, but it wasn't a date :) we were just friends.

Who proposed? Jayson of course :)

Who is more sensitive? Definitely me.

Who has more friends? We don't really keep a tally on this one. I think that Jayson is much better at making friends quickly, but I am better at keeping in touch with people, so I am probably the one with more friends.

Who wears the pants in the family? I think we each have a leg in one of the pant-legs :)
