So I am a bit behind in my blogging, I have been distracted recently working on Jayson's birthday present. For the 4th of July we went to a Salt Lake Bees (minor league baseball) game. It was kind of a last minute thought so the only seats left were general admission, which means you are sitting on the grassy hill in the outfield. It wasn't too bad though and we found a great little spot in left field. The game was enjoyable, but sadly the Bees weren't able to pull off a win. The best part about going to the 4th of July game though is that afterwards they do a fireworks show! The fireworks are set off just behind where we were sitting, so everyone on the grass got to pick up their blankets and take them out onto the field. So we got to watch the fireworks show right on the baseball field! It was really cool and the best part was being able to walk on the incredible grass in bare feet. I don't know what kind of grass they use on baseball fields, but it was AMAZING! The fireworks were great as well :)
As it was the 4th I was reflecting upon the birth of our country and what a blessing it is to live in America where we enjoy so many wonderful freedoms. I admire our Founding Father's so much and their unwavering dedication to the establishment of freedom. The freedoms and opportunities that we enjoy are truly unique and as I become more and more aware of the situations of others across the globe I feel so blessed to live in America!

We went to a game on Flag Day and enjoyed the firework show as well. That night the Bees did pull off a win, and we saw a bat break on a ball, another bat go flying into the crowd (no one was hurt that we know of) and two homers! Even better than the Ken Griffey Jr. Super Nintendo game Matt and I used to play for hours on end.
It's awesome that you got to watch fireworks from the field. The grass sounds awesome too.
I love to go to Bees games because they're such a fun diversion...I rarely watch the actual game, but just enjoy hanging out with whoever comes with me!
