Tell 7 random/weird things about yourself that not many people know:
1. One of my favorite snacks is Nilla Wafers and cheddar cheese. I don't put the cheese on the wafers, but I like to eat a slice of cheese then a wafer then another slice of cheese and so on. I guess it is something about the sweet and salty . . . it is delicious!
2. I love Disney! I have been to Disneyland every four years for as long as I can remember (quite possibly my whole life, I'll have to ask my mom). The Cahoon family has a reunion there every four years. I also love Disney movies. I own over 30 Disney movies (mostly the cartoons) and have several more to get on my wish list.
3. I have a strange habit of smelling books! I love the smell of books (most books that is, each book smells different and some are no good at all). Actually, I guess maybe more specifically I like the smell of paper. However, I don't find myself picking up paper and smelling it, I mostly just do it with books. When I open a book the first place it goes is straight to my nose! I think that is pretty weird, but I keep doing it anyway.
4. I love thunder and lighting storms. When I was little, about the age when most kids are terrified of thunder and lighting, when there was a thunderstorm I would get my blanket and go sit out on our covered porch so I could watch the lighting and listen to the thunder.
5. I have a mini obsession with winter scarves, hats, and mittens. I have been trying to be good and not buy anymore because I have more than I can wear, but when I see a cute scarf, hat, or set of mittens I am always sorely tempted to buy them.
6. I have seen my own ear drum. In one of my audiology classes our professor brought in a video-scope that he stuck in each of our ears and we got to watch on a screen as it traveled through our ear canal up to the ear drum. It was slightly uncomfortable, but kind of cool to see. I was relieved that my ear wasn't too waxy because the image was displayed on a huge screen in front of the entire class!
7. I almost became an interior designer instead of a speech-language pathologist. My first semester of college I was enrolled in the interior design program. However, after pulling 8 all-nighters in one semester I got too burnt out and decided that interior design was not the future for me. I switched to a degree in Professional Preschool Education which ultimately led me to pursuing my degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
